Yes, TEO is mobile responsive and can be used on a mobile device. However, there is no mobile app for it currently.

Teo Academy is a platform that enables tutors to essentially 'sell' their services to the 'customer' (students). TEO facilitates this transaction on the platform and provides secure payment gateways for both students and tutors as well as the classroom tools (video sharing, whiteboard etc.).
For the service that we, 'TEO', provides we take a commission from the tutor's pay and nothing from the student.

One of our founding ethical principles is that we only charge the minimum commission rate possible so that tutors get fair payment for their skills and so that students do not have to cover the costs of hiked lesson prices. It's Fair and Ethical for all!

Yes, tutors and students can see the scheduled lessons as per their time zones, simplifying the problem for tutors and students located in different time zones. They can go to "Settings" and select their "Time Zone".

Tutors can include the YouTube link of their introduction video to make it more attractive. YouTube allows you to add a thumbnail also, and this is well worth doing as it gives your profile a more professional look.

Profiles should also include relevant information about yourselves like biography, skills, industry, experience, and spoken languages.

You should tick the box on all of the relevant subject specialties that apply to you too.

For some subjects like, OET for example, you may be required to provide additional qualification evidence.

We are sorry but TEO Academy is not currently recruiting tutors for children (under 18). This service will be available again in the future so please check back with us from time to time.

TEO has several ways of assisting tutors with learning materials.

1: On your individual tutor platform, you can create lessons plans, design quizzes and expand the question bank as much as you wish.
2: TEO academy has a dedicated YouTube channel (below) with TEO's Tiny Tips modules that you can share.
3: Contact admin with specific requests and our team of experts will strive to create what you need. Questions, comments or ideas are wholeheartedly welcomed by our developers.

There are a few essential pieces of information needed to become a tutor on the TEO Academy platform.

1: Photo ID such as a. driving licence, passport or national ID card.
2: Certificates of qualifications or CV.

Once a tutor profile is created , you should fill in all sections of your profiles to ensure that you get the highest possible place in search results.

TEO will not share your information with any third parties in line with GDPR.

TEO Academy will use the contact information and other details only for administration related needs. By signing up to our terms and conditions and privacy policy, you agree to this.

If you and your chosen tutor are not compatible then you may be entitled to our 'Satisfaction Guarantee' policy. This is detailed in our terms and conditions section were you can trial with up to 2 additional tutors 'free of charge'.

To apply for any visa, this would be done through individual nation's pathways.
TEO Academy Ltd does not have any control over these systems or the requirements and applications for visas. This will depend on the individual person applying.

However, as a student - learning a higher level of English proficiency through our platform - may help you to find jobs in industries that are 'valuable' to those applications.
TEO Academy has industry specific tutors that focus language lessons on the skills you need - try searching for a tutor based on your industry, whether that is business, medicine or IT etc.

Also, for tutors, teaching English on our platform can be done in most countries globally. (You would have to check with the individual countries government on the laws and rules around this). But the rise of "digital nomadism" means that teaching English online doesn't have to mean staying put.

Some countries like Spain, Germany, even the Seychelles etc. are opening up their borders to digital nomads!

These nations are offering digital nomad visas to explorers who fancy working online but still want to see what's out there in the world, which is incredibly exciting!
