James Hourihan is an executive coach, Member of the Institute of Directors (MIoD), and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) with over 30 years of senior leadership experience across the UK and international private and public sectors.

Currently completing an MBA in Senior Leadership at Keele University and a CMI Level 7 in Leadership Coaching and Mentoring, James combines academic rigour with board-level insight and frontline credibility.

As founder of JL Academy and TEO Academy (part of The Hour Group), James has trained professionals across NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, and education bodies. He has contributed to national policy with the Department of Health and the DfE, and his frameworks on psychological safety are used by organisations across the UK.

Beyond consultancy, James served as Company Secretary for Sale FC Rugby Club (est. 1861) during a period where turnover grew from £150k to £1.1 million.
